Travel Information

Season. In Australia, the opposite is true: summer is from November to March, and winter is from May to September. The best time to travel is our winter.

Visa. A tourist costs $ 33 and is done without much hassle in ten days. How to get there. Most major airlines fly to Australia, both European (via London, Vienna, Amsterdam, etc., a little longer), and Asian (via Singapore, Korea, the United Arab Emirates, etc., which is shorter). I liked flying the Japanese company JAL: 18 hours with an overnight stay or a day trip to Tokyo – exciting, convenient (you have time to relax) and reliable.

Where to settle. All world hotel chains are represented in Australia, and the prices in them are approximately in line with European ones (Sydney is more expensive). A night in a five-star hotel costs about $ 200-300, in a four-star hotel – $ 100-180, in a three-star hotel – $ 50-120.

What to see in Sydney. Opera House with its concert halls and restaurants, Harbor Bridge (you can book a tour of this beautiful bridge), The Rocks (the old quarter with shops, bars and restaurants), Kings Cross (nightlife and red light district), Sydney Aquarium ( one of the best in the world), Taronga Zoo Zoo, Waratah Park (national park half an hour from Sydney). However, in any hotel you will simply be overwhelmed with booklets and offers, so that you can at least go for a wine tasting somewhere in the province, even ride in balloons.

Travels. To fly to Australia for the sake of Sydney alone does not make sense, in two weeks you will have time to see much more. To the south of Sydney are the dearest Canberra and Mount Kosciuszko, where you can ski all year round. In the depths of the country are the Blue Mountains and Aboriginal villages. In the north – Brisbane, golden beaches and high waves of the Gold Coast. This is where the car comes in handy. A car costs from about $ 60 per day (however, you have to get used to left-hand traffic). And if you want something very big and clean, you need to fly to Cairns, and from there, by sea, to the Great Barrier Reef, to visit the marine fauna.
